Q: What is The Bread Project?

A:  A 9-Week training program to learn cookin skills, organized for disadvantaged adults.  At the time of this article (08/2005) information to participate in the Bread Project is as follows: "Bread Project's Berkeley office (1701 San Pablo Ave., near Virginia) to demonstrate a command of English. The application process includes an interview. To schedule an interview, contact executive director Lily Divito at (510) 644-4575".
Q: What is the CHEFS program?

A:  CHEFS is a 12-week program run by the Episcopal Community Services: 165 8th St., Third Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103; Phone at (415) 487-3300 or go online to www.ecssf.org  I believe their next training session begins in January 2007.  An acquaintance also mentioned they offer paid internships following completion of the CHEFS program.
Q: What is the Delancey Street Project?
