NEWS & HEADLINES FOR SRO's IN SAN FRANCISCO
Beyond Chron focused on two issues this last week (April 18, 2007). Here is a recap of a blurb and summary of another article printed:
Randy Shar reports on retraction by City of plans to cut health care funding for SRO's in San Francisco -

A second Beyond Chron article on 4/18/07 by paul Hogarth titled, "A Tenant Law Nobody Knows About"...Hogarth updates readers on their protective rights against eviction from an SRO Hotel in San Francisco, with a one page article, beginning as follows:
"If your landlord allows a major code violation to persist for 35 days after a Housing Inspector has issued a citation, it is illegal under state law for them to collect rent or evict you for non-payment." This is according to tenant code 1942.4. [For feedback contact attorney Paul Hogarth at paul@beyondchron.org. His article can be read by clicking fishbowl
